lasne-pic
Prosperous Walloon municipality south of Brussels. The commune is made up of five different entities: Couture-Saint-Germain, Lasne-Chapelle-Saint-Lambert, Maransart, Ohain and Plancenoit. It is officially a french speaking commune although there is a considerable influx of foreigners and, to a lesser degree, also an inward migration of Dutch speaking Belgians before a drastic price hike around 2005 took place in some municipalities of Brabant Wallon like Lasne , Waterloo, La Hulpe,   and Rixensart. A price level that came close to comparable wealthy Flemish suburbs, which made most Dutch speaking Belgians focus their attention to the cheaper parts of Brabant Walloon around Wavre in the east and Saintes in the west.
